BEVERLY HILLS, March 02, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State appears set for the rescheduled general elections.

At the weekend , the party’s elections agents in the 178 electoral wards across the state were taken through the necessary education on their roles and the expectations expected of them during the elections at a workshop organised for them in Damaturu, the state capital, by the party.

The chairman of the occasion and coordinator of Buhari Campaign Organisation in the state, Alhaji Tijjani Musa Tumsa, while declaring the workshop opened, charged the agents to inculcate good electoral ethics they would be learning during the workshop when they are called to task during the elections.

Tumsa, who is also a former APC Secretary, restated the party’s commitment to ensuring peaceful elections at all levels, saying the party’s agents are instrumental to the realisation of the objective.

He said the much desired change the APC has been yearning for will only be realised through their determination and commitment to defending the votes of the party during the elections.

Responding to the charge on behalf of the participants, the coordinator of the state chapter of Buhari Youth Organisation, Mallam Bashir Bukar, applauded the Buhari and Ibrahim Gaidam Campaign organisation for organising the workshop, saying it would go a long way in exposing party agents to the rigour of election procedures.

Maintaining that the workshop will assist greatly in ensuring a hitch-free exercise, he pledged that participants will extend knowledge acquired to other agents at the local levels.

Though participants were drawn from the 17 council areas of the state, the party said plans are underway to hold similar session at the local government levels.
