BEVERLY HILLS, October 25, (THEWILL) – In what appeared to be a botched operation, Sunday, four suspected suicide bombers were killed when a premature explosion rocked the vehicle in which they were travelling at Njimtilo, a village just a few kilometres to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
Confirming the incident, the information officer of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mallam AbdulKadir Ibrahim, said in Maiduguri that : “The four suicide bombers came in a car (golf) around some minutes past 1:20pm,” adding “The car presumably exploded before they reached their target.”
According to him, “All the four suicide bombers on board died, no innocent soul was lost, no casualty recorded and their remains had been deposited in the mortuary at Borno State Specialist Hospital.”
