Police Rescues Anisulowo

SAN FRANCISCO, May 03, (THEWILL) – The Ogun State Police Command says it has safely rescued a former Minister of State for Education, Senator Iyabode Anisulowo, from her abductors.

The 70-year-old Anisulowo was abducted last Wednesday while returning from her farm in Sawonjo, Yewa South local government area of Ogun State.

According to the command, she was rescued alive by 7pm today at Gbegbinlawo village, near Olorunda town, Ogun state.

The leader of the kidnap gang was arrested in Lagos, while trying to escape to Dubai, while a woman and a man were also arrested by the Police in connection with the Senators abduction.

The police had on Monday offered a N5 million reward to anybody with useful information on the abduction of the ex-minister.
