September 14, (THEWILL) – The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Musiliu Smith, resigned his position on Wednesday.

The resignation came amid disagreement between the commission and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), over the recruitment of constables.

But Ikechukwu Ani, Spokesperson of the Commission, who confirmed the development, said Smith’s resignation was on health grounds.
