PDP Post-Election Review Report For Submission Sept 30 – Ekweremadu

BEVERLY HILLS, September 17, (THEWILL) – The Deputy President of the Senate and Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Post-Election Review Committee, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, said Thursday in Abuja that the Committee’s Report is ready for submission on September 30.

He stated this while interacting with journalists at the end of the retreat by the Committee to harmonise and adopt its report ahead of its submission.

Senator Ekweremadu who would, however, not say a word on the recommendations of the Committee, told reporters that he believed his Committee had done its best in diagnosing and addressing the challenges facing the PDP.

According to Ekweremadu, “I do not have the mandate of the Committee to speak on the details of our work yet. That will be done at the appropriate time. But for now, I want to assure members of our party that we have done our best in accordance with our terms of reference and that our report is ready for submission.”

The Senator also said that in view of the forthcoming Eid el Kabir holiday, the Committee’s report would now be submitted to the party on September 30 instead of September 23 as earlier scheduled.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Uche Anichukwu, Ekweremadu expressed happiness at the enthusiasm and interest shown in the work of the Committee by party faithful within and outside the country.

The statement said the Post-Election Review Committee was inaugurated on May 5, 2015 by the PDP with a nine-point agenda to identify the immediate and remote causes of the party’s poor performance in the last general elections and to propose a roadmap to restore the party’s fortunes.
