March 02, (THEWILL) – Nigerian on-form forward, Victor Osimhen, has set his sights on winning every available trophy this season, including the UEFA Champions League.
Osimhen, who currently tops the Serie A scoring charts with club Napoli, stated his ambitious goal in an interview with Corriere della Sera. Napoli has been having a stellar season so far, sitting comfortably at the top of the Serie A rankings, with an 18-point lead over second-placed Inter Milan.
The team’s recent 2-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt at home has put them in a strong position to advance to the UCL quarterfinals. Osimhen expressed his team’s determination to succeed, stating that they were willing to give everything for victory.
He said: “March has only begun, so there is still time. But I do want everything, and so do we. For this accomplishment, we give our lives. We are giving everything up to get it, thus we deserve it. We are nearly there, but if we get sidetracked now, woe betides us.”
Napoli will face Eintracht Frankfurt again in the second leg of their Champions League match on March 15, and a win would secure their spot in the quarterfinals.
