BEVERLY HILLS, January 21, (THEWILL) – Chris Rock is set to return to The Oscars for his second stint as the awards host. But following the outrage from the perceived racial prejudice in this year’s nominations, a lot of people, notably 50 Cent and Tyrese Gibson, have called on the ace comedian to boycott the awards.
Tyrese urged Chris to do the ‘right thing’ and stay away from the event. He wrote, “Chris Rock do the right thing make a statement – were relying on you to DO the right thing….. There is NO JOKE YOU CAN CRACK TO EVER CHANGE THE WAY WE ALL FEEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
50 Cent also took to his Instagram to plead with the comedian not to host the awards: “Chris please do not do the oscars awards. You mean a lot man, don’t do it. Please,” he wrote.
