June 16, (THEWILL)- Gospel Minister, Adeyinka Alaseyori, has asked for calm after the criticism that followed Tope Alabi’s condemnation of her song.
Tope Alabi had come under heavy criticism after she criticised the singer’s song.
Alaseyori had in a song called God her (spiritual) Guarantor.
The song, “Oniduro mi e seun,” meaning, “Thank you, my Guarantor,” became famous among Yoruba speakers and the people of the South-West.
However, Tope Alabi, while on stage at an event, stated that it would be wrong for anybody to tag God as his or her Guarantor.
She stated that she once wanted to sing the song at a programme, but the Holy Spirit told her to shut up.
Her comment sparked social media reactions as many Nigerians accused her of being envious of Alaseyori.
However, Alaseyori on Tuesday night, enjoined her fans to allow peace to reign as Tope Alabi was her superior in the industry.
Alaseyori said: “I am delighted to worship and praise God. I want everyone all over the world to join me and I would like to say this.
”Please, let peace reign. Mummy Tope Alabi is our mother. Let us embrace peace and be happy in God.”
