One Killed As Church Building Collapses In Benue

A Dunamis church building located at Mission Ward North Bank in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, collapsed on Tuesday morning.

Residents in the area said four worshippers, including the pastor, were observing prayers at the church building when the incident occurred.

While the pastor died in the wreckage, three others were fortunate to have escaped.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Anene Sewuese Catherine, confirmed the incident.

“Only one person has been confirmed dead for now,” she said
