October 20, (THEWILL) – The duo of Michael Collins Ajereh, otherwise known as Don Jazzy and Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, also known as D’banj, seem to be getting closer by the day.

Since the duo ended their rift a few years ago, they have been making frantic efforts to ensure that their friendship continues to enjoy a smooth sail.

Don Jazzy and his ex-business partner, D’banj, started their friendship and struggle in London until they decided to take the country by storm when they floated the now-rested Mo’hits record label.

They held the music scene spellbound for a few years, producing hit music and raising great talents until they split in 2010, over differences in interests, which unfortunately led to the death of the once-blooming Mo’Hits Records, which they built together.

However, in 2015, the combined efforts of Aremo Segun Oniru, son of the former traditional ruler of Iru land, Oba Idowu Oniru and his close pal, Folorunsho Coker, the Director General of Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, brought the two together again.

After their reconciliation, the two music icons joined Wande Coal, one of Mo’Hit’s signees then to perform at Aremo Oniru’s 50th birthday in 2015.

The duo have been showing immense love and respect for each other since they ended their rift. One such moment was during the 15th edition of the Headies award which took place in Atlanta last month. D’banj was given special recognition at the award ceremony and he dedicated it to his former business partner while inviting him on stage for the award.

Ahead of the final rites of Mrs Indian Picolo, Don Jazzy’s mother, who passed away in July, D’banj was also at Don Jazzy’s mansion to lend his support.

The music act played a vital role in ensuring a successful arrangement of some of the proceedings done by his friend and former partner for his mother’s burial.

Don Jazzy’s father, Collins Ajereh, had to make a shout-out to the singer with a lovely video of how he supported his family during their trying times.

The musician also joined other entertainers and celebrities in their aso ebi for the burial ceremony of Don Jazzy’s mother on Friday, October 7, 2022.
