November 17, (THEWILL) – An opinion leader from the Ofuoma oil-producing community in Afiesere oilfield, oil Mining Lease OML30, in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Chris Eriyamremu, has lauded Mr. Adogbeji Oseragbaje, Chief Executive Officer, Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited (HEOSL), over the payment of N1.5bn GMoU Fund for 2023 to host communities in OML30.
Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited (HEOSL) operates the OML30 assets on behalf of the NNPC Exploration and Production Limited (NEPL) and Shoreline Natural Resources Limited (SNRL).
The N1.5bn GMoU Fund is meant to execute capital projects in the 112 host communities that make up the OML30 assets.
Eriyamremu, a peace mediator and conflict resolution consultant, in a statement on Friday, in Warri, said, “It gladdens my heart to know that Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited (HEOSL) has paid N1.5bn GMoU Fund for 2023. The GMoU Fund is very important because it is being used to execute capital projects, a direct benefit to the host communities.
“I am commending the Chief Executive Officer of HEOSL, Adogbeji Oseragbaje, because since he came on board, he has shown capacity, competence, made impacts and brought in some innovations that are positively reshaping business, operations and consolidating on the company and community relations.
“The appointment of a Nigerian, Mr. Adogbeji Oseragbaje, as CEO was the best decision made by Heritage Oil Plc and Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited. The advantages are enormous as Oseragbaje was already leveraging that for the interest of both the JV partners, HEOSL and the 112 host communities in OML30.
“It is a good thing that Oseragbaje is coming down to directly engage with stakeholders and community leadership, which is strengthening the company-community partnership.
“More so, it is worthy of note that since Mr. Adogbeji Oseragbaje was appointed Chief Executive Officer, the welfare of community workers, local contractors and development of host communities has been given adequate response. This will certainly sustain an enabling environment for operations.”
