Penning a short note to appreciate God for the journey so far, he celebrated the people God used to get him to his present height as a lawyer of repute.

Akpata graduated from the University of Benin, Edo State, in 1992, and was called to the bar the following year. He started his career in Delta State, under the leadership of Mudiaga Odje, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, who was one of the seasoned litigators in the 80s.

He later relocated to Lagos and joined his cousin, Oghogho Akpata, who just set up a law firm, Templars and grew the firm to one of the largest law firms in Nigeria at the age of 23 years.

Akpata has participated in groundbreaking transactions, which have shaped the commercial law practice in Nigeria.
