January 20, (THEWILL) – AC Milan claimed a dramatic 2-3 away victory against Udinese in a thrilling Serie A encounter on Saturday. Trailing 1-2 with just minutes remaining, late goals from Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor completed a remarkable comeback for the visitors.
The match saw chances at both ends throughout. Olivier Giroud went close early on for Milan, while Udinese’s Tijjani Reijnders created openings later in the half. Ultimately it was Ruben Loftus-Cheek who broke the deadlock for the visitors after 31 minutes.
Shortly before the break, the match was temporarily halted due to alleged racist abuse directed at Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan from sectors of the home support.
On resumption, Udinese equalised through a superb Lazar Samardzic strike from a distance. The home side then went 2-1 ahead courtesy of a Florian Thauvin goal just after the hour mark. However, Milan fought back in dramatic style in the closing stages.
Luka Jovic levelled things up with a header in the 83rd minute before Noah Okafor snatched a winner deep into injury time after a goalmouth scramble.
