Ogun Guber: SDP Candidate Ojeshina Conducts Free Diagnostic Scheme In 20 LGA

December 19, (THEWILL) – Gubernatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party in Ogun State, Engineer Tony Ojeshina, has embarked on free medical diagnostic scheme across the 20 Local Government Areas.

Ojeshina, who said that the diagnostic scheme was part of his six cardinal points for health sector, said that lack of medical check up has led to untimely deaths among the citizens.

He disclosed this while speaking in an exclusive interview at his office in Quarry Road, Abeokuta, the state capital.

The former commissioner for environment, who said that he had covered nine LGA in the medical scheme said other councils would be reached before the end of January 2023.

He said that the scheme would allow people to do free medical test, diagnostic, know their state of health and have free drugs, as well as receiving advice from doctors on their diet or what medicine to take and not to take.

Ojeshina, who said that he is funding the scheme free of charge, said that it was advisable for people to do annual medical check up, which he said would be continually done by his administration if elected as governor.

He said, “Currently as I am campaigning I am conducting what is called free medical diagnostic scheme in all our 20 Local Governments, we have done about nine local governments and we will finish the rest in January, but this has to be sustained when we get to office because I am personally funding it now.

“You see what causes sudden death is that people don’t know the state of their health, and once in a year it is important that our administration will make sure that we have free diagnostic for every person, so you know the state of your health it is only once you know what is wrong with you from those diagnostic that you can manage them.

“They will diagnose you, they will pen down your health report and tell you your health condition and tell you what is wrong with you. They will also tell you what to eat and not what to eat, they can tell you what medicine to use and also advise them on traditional medicine, and the doctors are there to say if you don’t have traditional medicine you can take this or this, so that people when he leaves there knows every ailment in his body and knows how to manage it. So we are giving that to people free of charge”, he added.
