January 29, (THEWILL) – Gunmen on Saturday, attacked Ebonyi/Enugu boundary police checkpoint and killed three police personnel.
The hoodlums were said to have stormed the checkpoint in two Sienna vehicles and opened fire on the policemen at the checkpoint.
Spokesperson of the Ebonyi State Police Command, SP Chris Anyanwu, confirmed the incident.
”Yesterday’s attack by unknown gunmen at Ebonyi/Enugu boundary took place at about 1808hrs.
“Three Police personnel of Operation Safer Highway, fatally injured. Later confirmed dead.
“Hoodlums operated in two sienna vehicles, drove into the Check-point, opened fire on the policemen”, a short whatsApp message from SP Chris Anyanwu read.
