December 31, (THEWILL) – Delta State governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the appointment of Iwemdi Nwaham, as his Senior Special Assistant (SSA), on Political Affairs.
The appointment, which took immediate effect, was contained in a letter dated Friday, December 22, 2023, and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Kingsley Emu.
Iwemdi Nwaham is a quietly influential founding member of the All Progressive Congress (APC) before he a crowd of APC members/faithful to join the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023, in his ward in Umunede in Ika North East Local Government Area (LGA), Delta State.
While in APC, the Umunede-born ace politician, who is reputed for grassroots mobilisation, was the former APC publicity Secretary in the state under the then chairman, Chief Cyril Ogodo.
Iwemdi holds a Second-Class Honours Upper Division in Fisheries Management and Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics, from the nation’s premier university, University of Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria.
The Agricultural Economics graduate cum politician had earlier in 2023, served as Senior Special Assistant (Media) to the immediate past Governor of the state, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, where he functioned prominently and excellently.
