November 12, (THEWILL) – In about two weeks’ time, all roads will lead to Gbonganland in Osun State when politician cum journalist, Dele Momodu will be conferred with the chieftaincy title of the Akinrogun of Gbonganland alongside his wife, Mobolaji who will also be decorated with the title of Yeye Akinrogun of Gbonganland.
The event coincides with the celebration of the Olufi of Gbongan, Oba Adetoyese Oyeniyi Odugbemi I’s 25 years on the throne.
The chieftaincy title is very significant to Momodu as Gbonganland is his mother’s ancestral home. Chieftaincy titles would also be conferred on other deserving Nigerians at the ceremony which will have the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, as the royal father of the day, while the Special Guest of Honour will be Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State.
