SAN FRANCISCO, June 04, (THEWILL) – Turkish giants, Trabzonspor, has been handed a one-season ban from European football by UEFA over Financial Fair Play (FFP) breaches.
The club, which parades Nigerian forward, Anthony Nwakaeme, breached an agreement that was reached in 2016 with UEFA when the club was busted for breaching the FFP rules.
The ban will be implemented if the club qualifies for Europe next season or in the 2021-22 season but will lapse thereafter.
THEWILL reports that Trabzonspor are presently on top of their league table.
