Nuno Espirito Santo Concedes Things Didn’t Go As Planned At Spurs

November 08, (THEWILL) – Nuno Espirito Santo has made his first public statement since being fired as manager of Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month.

The former Wolves manager was fired after a dismal run of form that ended in a 3-0 loss to Manchester United, leaving him with a Premier League record of five wins and five losses in ten games.

He was fired and replaced by Antonio Conte, a former Juventus and Inter manager who has led the team to a 3-2 Europa League win against Vitesse and a 0-0 draw with Everton in his first two games in command.

While chairman Daniel Levy assured fans that Spurs will return to their “DNA” with offensive football this season, Nuno was unable to deliver, with his team capitulating more often than impressing
