NSIB Begins Investigation Into Ibadan Airport Aircraft Incident

November 04, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) says it has commenced an investigation into an incident involving a private jet at the Ibadan Airport on Friday night.

THEWILL had reported that a private jet operated by Flint Aero, conveying the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu and some other persons, crash-landed at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport runway late Friday evening due to poor visibility.

A statement issued on Saturday, by Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, NSIB, James Odaudu, stated: “On the accident involving an aircraft operated by Flint Aero at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport Ibadan, please be informed that the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has commenced investigation into the cause.

“Our investigators are on site, and further information will be provided as soon as possible.”
