Nollywood’s Emeka Ike Wants Freedom For Chiwetalu Agu, Igboho, Kanu

October 08, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike, has tasked the Federal Government to release his colleague, Chiwetalu Agu, who was detained by the Nigerian Army for allegedly wearing a dress depicting the insignia of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Ike took to his Instagram account on Friday as he called for the release of “victims of conscience” including embattled IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, as well as Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho.

He wrote, “Release all victims of conscience immediately. Your belief is you. Your ideology is you. Tyranny never pays. Dialogue is golden. Release Sunday Igboho, release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu immediately. The world is watching & history never forgets.”

THEWILL had earlier reported the arrest of Chiwetalu Agu on Thursday in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The arrest of the veteran Nollywood actor by the Nigerian Army has continued to spark public outcry.

As of the time of filing this report, the actor was still being questioned and yet to be released by the Nigerian Army division in Enugu.
