June 29, (THEWILL) – Veteran Nollywood actress in the Yoruba movie genre, Sidikat Odunkanwi, professionally known as Iyabo Oko, is dead.
The late actress’s daughter, Bisi Aisha, took to social media to announce the sad news.
She posted Iyabo Oko’s picture on her Instagram page and wrote Rest in Peace on it.
“It is well with your soul. RIP,” she captioned the post.
Foluke Daramola-Salako also took to Instagram to confirm the news.
“And finally we lost her. Rip Iyabo Oko, we did our best but God knows best,” she wrote.
The late actress battled ill health, which resulted in a long break from the movie scene.
In 2022, one of her daughters, Olamide, disclosed that her mother was diagnosed with an Ischaemic stroke about five years ago but kept her health issues away from the public.
Daramola-Salako solicited funds for the ailing actress during her time of travail and many of her colleagues contributed immensely towards her welfare.
