Nines Arrested At Heathrow Airport, Charged For Possession Of Cannabis

November 25, (THEWILL) – British rapper, director and actor, Courtney Leon Freckleton, known professionally as Nines, has been charged with drug offences, following his arrest at Heathrow Airport.

The 33-year-old was apprehended on Wednesday, 15th of November, as reported by the Metropolitan Police and was led away with his hands cuffed behind his back at the airport.

Nines is currently facing charges related to cannabis, including being concerned with its supply and possession of the Class B drug. Additionally, he is charged with three counts of breaching a serious crime prevention order, allegedly failing to notify the police of his address and possessing unregistered devices.

Nines, residing in Bushey, Hertfordshire, appeared in custody at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

A court official stated that Nines did not enter pleas to the charges and was granted conditional bail by District Judge Kathryn Verghis. His next appearance is scheduled for a plea and case management hearing at Kingston Crown Court on December 15.

According to a statement by the Metropolitan Police Service, “Courtney Freckleton appeared in custody at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday 17 November charged with three counts of the breach of an existing serious crime prevention order, being concerned in the supply of a class B drug (cannabis) and possession of a class B drug.

“He was bailed to appear at Kingston Crown Court on 15 December.”
