BEVERLY HILLS, July 17, (THEWILL) – Nigeria Friday reported 600 confirmed new cases of the deadly coronavirus to bring the tally in the country to 35, 454, though the number remains a far cry from the actual number of infections because the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, lacks the capacity to test more than three thousand samples daily.
According to data released by the NCDC, 14, 633 persons have recovered from the pandemic while 772 deaths have been documented from it with 3 reported Friday.
Lagos, the epicenter reported 129 new cases, the FCT 118, Oyo 87 and Kano 55. See below for a full breakdown.
The NCDC says it has tested 206, 422 samples as at July 16, 2020.
