November 15, (THEWILL) – Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Olabode Oladimenji, popularly referred to as Oladips, has passed away.
According to a statement posted on his Instagram page by his management, he passed away at exactly 10:14 pm on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
On Tuesday, videos circulated on social media showing the artist appearing to have collapsed, surrounded by friends. Prior to the video surfacing, Oladips had used his Instagram stories to cry out for help.
In the post, he mentioned his friend, only one lifetime, and questioned their whereabouts. The rapper expressed frustration, detailing multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach the friend by phone, emphasising his aversion to being alone at home, particularly with his condition.
The statement posted by his management on his Instagram page after his demise highlighted that “For over 2 years, he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family.
“The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (amen).”
His funeral services will be announced as soon as it is concluded, the statement added.
