February 26, (THEWILL) – Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has defeated his closest rivals, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, in 13 out of 16 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Ekiti State.
In the results declared so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), at the State Collation Centre in Ado-Ekiti, the APC polled 148,975 votes to defeat the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku, who scored 62,710 votes, while Peter Obi of the Labour Party, got 6,097 votes.
Three Local Governments are yet to be announced by the INEC’s Collation officer.
