BEVERLY HILLS, March 24, (THEWILL) – Troops Monday evening crushed Boko Haram insurgents in Pulka, Borno state, northeastern Nigeria, and reclaimed the town from the terrorists, who seized the area several months back.
The military in a statement on Tuesday said the Boko Haram has been using Pulka as “one of their major access to the Mandara mountains and supply route out of the country and link towards Cameroon.”
Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters said troops also captured a male terrorist suspect who disguised himself as a lady fully dressed in jihab as he made for a mission to kill innocent citizens in Kwaya Kusar Market in Borno State on Saturday. “He has already given useful information on the mode of their operations,” the statement said.
In another development, the mission of two female suicide bombers was Monday aborted by troops in Aouno, Borno State. The military said they however blew themselves up with no military or civilian casualty “as they apparently intended to.”
