SAN FRANCISCO, July 12, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari over the weekend recalled Nigerian ambassadors serving in foreign countries.
Those affected by the recall are non-career diplomats who were appointed by the past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
Chief Ojo Madueke, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Canada, Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain are amongst those recalled in what the Presidency described as a bid to rejig the nation’s foreign policy.
Though there has not been a formal statement to the press regarding the development, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, confirmed the recall to state house correspondents on Saturday.
