Nigeria Adds 499 New Cases Of COVID-19

BEVERLY HILLS, July 9, (THEWILL) – Nigeria Thursday recorded 499 confirmed new cases of the coronavirus with Lagos, the epicenter of the pandemic in the country adding 157. The total number of infections has now reached 30, 748. There are 12, 546 recoveries and 689 deaths (5 new recorded today).

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NDCD, Thursday said it has tested 171, 931 samples as at July 8, 2020.

From Thursday’s data, Edo added 59, Ondo 56, Oyo 31, Akwa Ibom 22 and Borno 21. See below for a further breakdown.
