Several equities closed unchanged during the session, including MTN Nigeria Communications, Dangote Cement, Seplat Energy, Presco Plc, Custodian Investment Plc and UAC of Nigeria Plc, among others.

The session’s performance reflected a strengthening of the market’s recent recovery, with both market capitalisation and the ASI recording higher values.

The improvement in market breadth also suggested that the gains were supported by a wider group of advancing equities, unlike the previous sessions when decliners outnumbered gainers.

The unchanged positions of several major equities, including MTN Nigeria Communications, Dangote Cement and Seplat Energy, indicated that trading activity remained mixed despite the overall positive market performance.

Wednesday’s advance brought another session of gains for the benchmark index, while the improvement in market breadth offered a more encouraging signal about participation across listed stocks.

However, the continued declines in selected equities suggested that investor sentiment remained uneven.
