September 25, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) closed Friday’s trading session marginally lower, as market capitalisation slipped N24 billion from N163.679 trillion at the open to N163.655 trillion at the close.
The All-Share Index (ASI) also declined slightly by 36.60 points, opening at 252,150.01 and closing at 252,113.41, representing a 0.01 percent decline.
Despite the marginal drop in the benchmark index, market breadth remained positive, with 39 gainers against 27 decliners.

Stocks that closed flat included Dangote Cement, Custodian Investment, Livestock Feeds, Julius Berger, and Union Dicon Salt, among others.
The marginal decline in the ASI came despite positive market breadth, indicating that gains across more stocks were insufficient to offset losses in selected counters.
