October 02, (THEWILL) – Wilfred Ndidi, the Nigerian midfielder playing for Leicester City, has been awarded the Player of the Month for September, in the mid-Eastlands side.
Ndidi has made an excellent start to the 2023/2024 campaign, featuring in all nine of the Foxes’ matches so far this season. He has been instrumental for the club in September, helping them win three of their five games.
Although they were knocked out of the EFL Carabao Cup after losing 3-1 to Liverpool, they won four of their five league matches. Ndidi scored one goal across those league games and dominated the Foxes’ midfield throughout. Following these strong performances, he was awarded Player of the Month for September after Leicester’s 4-1 win against Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.
Leicester sit top of the English Championship table and look well placed, should this level of performance continue, to gain promotion back to the Premier League this season. Ndidi has found strong form since the start of the campaign and will look to maintain such displays as the season continues.
Leicester have two games against Preston North End and Stoke City before the October international break.
