November 27, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actress and comedienne, Helen Paul, has revealed how her former boss discouraged her husband, Femi Bamisile, from dating her.
Helen disclosed that her former supervisor questioned her husband, a lawyer, for choosing to date someone like her.
The comedienne further revealed that her supervisor, not only criticised her, but also suggested to her spouse that they should consider a casual romantic relationship rather than a serious commitment.
Not revealing the identity of her then boss, she said, “My boss called my husband and said, do you really want to date Helen, Femi?, You deserve better, but if you just want to have fun, it’s okay.”
She also revealed that her Human Resources manager remarked on her husband’s polished and professional demeanor, insinuating that he deserved a partner of higher standing than herself.
Helen has been married to her husband since 2010 and the union is blessed with two sons.
The comedienne previously shared her challenging life story, shedding light on the stigma surrounding her birth due to a rape and the heartbreaking rejection she endured from her own family.
