MTN Opens Applications for Business Training With ₦100 Million in Equipment Grants for Women

MTN Foundation has opened applications for a five-week business training programme backed by a ₦100 million equipment-grant fund for women running young businesses.

September 17, (THEWILL) – MTN Foundation has opened applications for a five-week business training programme backed by a ₦100 million equipment-grant fund for women running young businesses.

Phase 8 of its ICT and Business Skills Training Programme will train 3,000 participants, with the top 100 receiving equipment grants worth up to ₦1 million each. Admission to training does not guarantee funding.

Who Can Apply

MTNApplicants must be Nigerian women aged 18–35 who own and manage microbusinesses operating for no more than two years.
Eligible businesses must be located in Rivers, Abia, Ogun, Kwara, Kano or Gombe.

Training combines self-paced online modules, instructor-led sessions, entrepreneur masterclasses and a capstone project challenge.

Participants will also receive data support.

MTN says 15,362 microbusiness owners have completed previous editions.

Applications close on October 11, 2026. Interested applicants can use the official application portal, which requires completion of compulsory fields and acceptance of the programme’s terms and conditions, alongside acknowledgement of its privacy notice.
