Mohammed Hands Over To New FAAN MD Kuku

December 14, (THEWILL) – Following the recent appointment of Mrs Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the immediate past MD/CE, Mr Kabir Yusuf Mohammed, has handed over the mantle of leadership of the organisation to her.

At a brief handover ceremony, which was held at FAAN’s Operational Headquarters in Lagos, Mr Kabir Mohammed expressed his appreciation to all staff of the Authority for the cooperation and support he enjoyed while he served as the Chief Executive of the organisation.

He enjoined them to ensure to support the new Management, so that the objectives of the organisation can be achieved.

The Federal Government had on Wednesday, sacked some Managing Directors/Chief Executive Officers of key aviation agencies in the country with immediate effect.

The heads of agencies that were affected include Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mr Kabir Yusuf Mohammed; Director-General of the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), Engr. Akinola Olateru; Director-General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET), Prof. Mansur Bako Matazu and Rector of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Capt. Alkali Mahmud Modibbo, while the Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Capt. Musa Shuaibu Nuhu, was equally suspended.
