October 01, (THEWILL) – Nigerian forwards, Terem Moffi and Moses Simon, have been rewarded for their strong performances in September by being named in Whoscored.com’s Ligue 1 Team of the Month.
The duo were in fantastic form last month for OGC Nice and Nantes respectively and fully deserve their places in the collection of players who made the list for the team selection out of all the players in the French top flight.
Moffi netted three goals and provided one assist in just three appearances for Nice, only failing to contribute in their 1-0 win against Monaco. The highlight was undoubtedly his brace and assist in the shock 3-2 victory away at champions PSG on matchday 5.
Simon registered two goals and three assists in his three matches in September for Nantes. His standout display came in the 5-3 triumph over Lorient on matchday 6, where he scored once and assisted twice.
The Ligue 1 Team of the Month is dominated by PSG, who have 4 players included such as Manuel Ugarte, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos and Ousmane Dembélé. It is to the credit of Moffi and Simon that there was no place in the front line for Kylian Mbappe.
