Military Helicopter Crashes In Turkey

BEVERLY HILLS, July 5, (THEWILL) – A military helicopter, with 14 people onboard, including 11 Turkish soldiers, crashed on Tuesday in in the Black Sea region of the North-Eastern province of Giresun.

Local news media revealed that a Brigadier General, a Colonel and two Majors were among those on board when the helicopter crashed as it flew to meet locals marking the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known, and no immediate information on casualties or the cause of the crash.

Rescue teams were trying to reach the wreckage.
