September 15, (THEWILL) –On Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain rallied from behind to defeat Maccabi Haifa 3-1 in the Champions League thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Lionel Messi.
In the 24th minute, Tjaronn Chery scored from close range to give the Israeli team a chance for a memorable victory. But PSG rebounded strongly from that early deficit and tied the score just before halftime when Messi stroked home after excellent play by Mbappe.

With this comeback victory, PSG scale over Benfica, who defeated Juventus 2-1 in the other Group H match, to climb to the top of the standings. Juventus and Maccabi Haifa are both pointless so far, but if the Israeli side plays as brilliantly as they did in this match, they may pull off the seemingly impossible and defeat the Bianconeri to claim third place.
