March 05, (THEWILL) – Kylian Mbappe has reaffirmed his commitment to Paris Saint-Germain, stating that his ultimate goal is to win the UEFA Champions League at the Parc des Princes.
Mbappe broke the record for PSG’s all-time leading scorer with his 201st goal in a 4-2 win over Nantes on Saturday. However, the 24-year-old is yet to win Europe’s elite club competition, having lost in the final to Bayern Munich in 2020.
Despite trailing 1-0 in their last-16 tie against Bayern, Mbappe remains confident that PSG can progress to the quarter-finals. “We are Paris Saint-Germain, and we always go to win matches,” he said. “We will go to Munich to win, to qualify, to come back happy.” Mbappe also refuted suggestions that Wednesday’s result will have a direct impact on his future at the club.
PSG Manager, Christophe Galtier, expressed his admiration for Mbappe, stating that he is “the best striker in the world. It’s a privilege for Paris Saint-Germain to have a striker like Kylian. He is determined to break many records, to make sure that the team wins, and that the team goes as far as possible.”
Mbappe and PSG will be hoping to overcome Bayern and take a step closer to fulfilling their Champions League dreams.
