July 20, (THEWILL) – Bayern Munich’s forward, Sadio Mane, is reportedly on the verge of a move to the Saudi Pro League, with sources confirming that he has agreed in principle to join Al Nassr.

The former Liverpool star’s debut season with Bayern was met with mixed results, scoring 12 goals in 38 games across all competitions. However, his time at the club was marred by an altercation with teammate Leroy Sane after a UEFA Champions League defeat.

Mane had previously been reluctant to consider a move to Saudi Arabia, but recent developments indicate a significant change of heart. The potential transfer has taken an unexpected turn, as Mane’s stance on moving to Saudi Arabia seemed firm until recently. It was revealed that Steven Gerrard, who now manages Al Ettifaq, sought to attract the player’s interest in the Saudi Pro League. Despite initial refusals, Mane has now reached an agreement in principle on personal terms with Al Nassr, the club led by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bayern Munich are bracing for the transfer and anticipate that while they may not recoup the full £35 million they paid to sign Mane from Liverpool, they hope to secure a substantial fee for the forward. Bayern’s interest in acquiring Tottenham Hotspur’s star striker, Harry Kane, has not waned, according to sources. However, Spurs have been resolute in refusing to assign a price tag to their prized asset.

As negotiations with Al Nassr advance swiftly, Bayern continue to monitor the situation closely, believing that Mane’s move to the Middle East club could be finalised in the near future. The potential departure of Mane may have significant implications for the Bundesliga champions, and their pursuit of Kane could be a key focus as they aim to improve their attacking options.
