June 25, (THEWILL) – Manchester United, along with their English Premier League rivals, Chelsea and Liverpool, are reportedly engaged in discussions with the representative of Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen.
News reports monitored by THEWILL claim that on Saturday, the three illustrious clubs made it obvious that they were considering a potential move for the in-form striker, who has consistently expressed his desire to ply his trade in England.
The 24-year-old Osimhem currently holds a contract with Napoli until 2025, and negotiations are currently underway between his agent, Roberto Calenda, and the Italian Serie A champions regarding a contract extension. The Nigerian forward had a remarkable season, scoring an impressive tally of 31 goals across various competitions, placing him among the top ten goal scorers in Europe’s major leagues.
His exceptional performances led to multiple records being shattered, with Osimhen finishing the season as both the top scorer in Italy and the recipient of the Best Forward honour. Due to this outstanding form, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis set a substantial price tag of £150 million for Osimhen.
Notably, other prominent clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning champions of French Ligue 1, and Bayern Munich from the German Bundesliga, have also expressed genuine interest in acquiring the services of the Super Eagles forward, although Bayern had to pull out due to Napoli’s extreme valuation of the forward, according to the club.
