Man Utd Appoint Ferguson In New Five-Man Think Tank

July 30, (THEWILL) – Alex Ferguson, the iconic ex-manager of Manchester United, has been given a new position at the organisation.

In 2013, the Scot left his position as the club’s manager, but he has continued to wield significant influence at Old Trafford. And now, Man Utd Chief Executive Officer Richard Arnold has assembled a think tank with important members of Manchester United and has included Ferguson.

In this think-tank, the 80-year-old Ferguson will be joined by legendary captain Bryan Robson, former CEO David Gill, and current Football Director John Murtough. The five-man team met for the first time on Tuesday at the club’s AON training complex.

Although Ferguson and Gill have served as Non-executive Directors of the club since 2013, their new positions are regarded as having greater influence.

However, it is believed that manager Erik ten Hag will not be directly impacted or influenced by this new think tank. They will discuss topics including the growth of Carrington and Old Trafford as well as the club’s connection with its supporters.
