October 1, (THEWILL) – Robert Lewandowski set a La Liga record with his ninth goal of the 2022/2023 campaign, which helped Barcelona defeat Real Mallorca 1-0 and go to the top of the league.
Lewandowski, who has played in just seven games since joining from Bayern Munich, became the quickest player to reach nine goals in the Spanish top division in the twenty-first century with the game-winning goal.
Even though the Xavi Hernandez-led squad had to settle for a slim victory margin, the manager still has plenty of reasons to be happy, including Ansu Fati’s first domestic league start of the season, which was pivotal as he provided the assist for Lewandowski’s goal.
