December 17, (THEWILL) – Lanre Dasilva Ajayi, one of the leading names in Nigeria’s fashion industry, penultimate week, took time out to fete very important personalities to the 70th birthday of her mum, Lady Yemisi Da Silva. The day started off with a special thanksgiving service at the Catholic Church of Assumption, Ikoyi, Lagos. The celebrant stormed the church with her retinue of friends, her children and a handful of her children’s friends to thank God for keeping her well and alive. This was followed by a reception party later that evening.
The reception started with an opening prayer by Rev father Paul Arole of the Catholic Church of Assumption. The proceedings at the party was steered by Master of Ceremony, Smart Babatunde, while the guests were entertained by Abolaji Banjoko, aka Beejay Sax.
There were several highlights at the party, but the few that stood out were the cutting of a five-step green and gold birthday cake; the presentation of a gift to the celebrant by the Guild of Immaculate Conceptions from the Catholic Church of Assumptions.
Also, Lanre made a moving speech that got quite a handful of the guests teary and her mum giving her a bear hug while one of her daughters, Femi serenaded her with a song. Some of those in attendance were Morayo Asiko, Bola Adesola, Lara Rawa, Ruth Osime, Yemisi Wada, Tundun Abiola, Yinka Oredola, Priscillia Kuye, Rita Dominic, Linda Edozien, etc.
