SAN FRANCISCO, June 17, (THEWILL) – Seyitan Babatayo, the lady who accused singer, Dbanj of raping her in a Victoria Island, Lagos hotel room, is in police custody, according to tweets Wednesday by investigative journalist, Kiki Mordi.
Seyitan is being held at the Sodipo Police Station in Ikeja GRA in Nigeria’s commercial capital without access to her lawyers, family or friends.
“Seyitan accused D’Banj a couple of weeks before this article of sexual assault. Yesterday at about noon, Seyitan was and is still detained in Sodipo Ikeja and hasn’t been granted access to friends, family or lawyer.

“I spoke to her lawyers and they also have reason to believe she’s being coerced to recant her accusations but with no one having access to her, it’s difficult to ascertain! They have applied for bail and our fingers are crossed,” Kiki tweeted.
THEWILL recalls that Dbanj had a few days ago formally refuted the rape allegation and filed a lawsuit seeking N100m in damages as well as a public apology from Seyitan.
