Kudus Ignites Interest From Top Clubs With Displays For Ghana

November 29, (THEWILL) – Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus is quickly establishing himself as one of the stars of the 2022 World Cup, and a number of English Premier League clubs have taken note of the performances of the Ajax player.

With a £15 million offer, Everton came very close to signing the 22-year-old in the summer, but Ajax ultimately decided against letting the talented player go. Kudus entered the World Cup as more of a regular at the club level despite his inability to secure a starting berth in Alfred Schreuder’s starting XI until mid-October.

Liverpool was well aware of Kudus’ talent prior to the tournament, not least because of their UCL encounters this season, but his performances in Qatar gave them the opportunity to evaluate him more thoroughly, and they have been impressed so far.

Borussia Dortmund, PSG, Lyon, Napoli, and Atletico Madrid are among the European teams that have been alerted by his progress in Qatar. Yet, Ajax are not in a hurry to let Kudus go even if it would be difficult to refuse a sizable offer for a player, who is not always the first option, especially as they now believe his value has more than doubled as a result of Qatar.

Additionally, it is thought that Kudus’s worth for Ajax has increased by more than £30 million, in part because of his long-term deal at the Eredivisie side which can keep him at the club until 2025. The transfer news aside, the 22-year-old is making his mark for Ghana at the grandest stage of all.
