November 16, (THEWILL) – Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted three persons in Ondo State.
The kidnapped victims, who are butchers, were kidnapped in Akure North Local Government Area of the state.
During the attack, one of the butchers was injured while on their way to purchase cows.
The incident occurred at Ajadusi Community after Ala town in Akure North Local Government.
According to sources, the four butchers had received a call from one of the suspected kidnappers to come and buy cows.
When the butchers arrived at the community, the abductors reportedly besieged them, shot sporadically before kidnapping their victims.
The only butcher who escaped and now receiving treatment at a popular hospital in Akure said the kidnappers macheted him in the head.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Funmi Odunlami, said she was yet to be briefed on the incident.
