September 27, (THEWILL) – The planned Notice To AirMen (NOTAM) that was to be issued to all airlines flying into the Kebbi State Airport has been relaxed, following attempts by the state to redeem debts owed the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

THEWILL gathered that the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) planned to issue a NOTAM to all airlines, banning them from flying into the airport as from midnight Monday (September, 27th 2021) while FAAN was also expected to withdraw its services at the airport.

However, the FAAN general manager (public affairs), Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, told THEWILL that all that has been relaxed due to a new development.

Mrs Yakubu said, “The NOTAM has been withdrawn. The government is making payments as of now”..
