November 13, (THEWILL) – The Katsina State Government has announced an immediate ban on all large gatherings at night.
A statement by the Commissioner of Information and Culture, Bala Salisu Zango, said the ban includes both religious and social gatherings, with the exception of obligatory prayers.
The statement reads: “The Katsina State Government has banned all types of night large gatherings. This includes religious and social large public gatherings with the exception of obligatory prayers.
“In the case of gatherings during the daytime, when it becomes necessary to hold, their permission must be sought from the Police Divisional Office within the local government area where the gathering will take place.”
The Government warned the general public against flouting the directive, adding that violators would face the full wrath of the law.
