American rapper, Kanye West, has applauded Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid’s song, Essence, as the best song in music history.
The singer posted the cover of the song on social media and wrote a lovely caption under it.
“Best song in the history of music till date”, he wrote.
Essence was released in 2020 as the fourth single from the singer’s fourth studio album, Made in Lagos. It featured Temilade Openiyi, aka Tems.
Since its release, Essence has won a lot of accolades. It became the first Nigerian song in history to chart on the Billboard 100 and the Billboard Global 200.
It was nominated for the 64th Annual Grammy as the Best Global Music Performance.
